Sr. Program/Project Manager/Application Development Manager- Exec Director
Major Investment Bank is seeking a Senior Program/Project/ Application Development Manager who will lead the Forecasting & Loan Programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a complex program of work across a number of technology and finance teams.
- Work closely with business analysts, quantitative research team, and business users to interpret the requirements and evaluate suitable solutions
- Organize, present and manage steering meetings with senior managers across the firm.
- Develop program plans, manage a complex program of work across many stakeholders
- Grow & fostering a quality based culture & end-to-end ownership capabilities in your team and look after their professional development
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of developing applications in a Finance/Banking environment
- Broad Information Technology experience, including understanding of development tools, processes and best practices of application delivery and project execution
- Experience leading Agile development teams
- Experience with Financial Services Industry is required, preferably Risk Management
- Proven ability to manage matrix resources in a global organization
- Proven ability to communicate with all levels, influence change, and solve problems/remove obstacles in a timely manner
- Proven track record of attracting top talent, people management and talent development
- Strong inter-personal skills to inspire/motivate the team and instill confidence and trust within the technology and business teams
- Demonstrated initiative and creativity; strategic thinker with proven analytical abilities
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computing Science / Software Engineering or related (Maths/Statistics, Science considered)
Desirable Skills
- Experience on analytic platform such as SECDB, Corts, SAS
- Experience working on solving distributed compute problems using grid computing
- Exposure to Non SQL and Big Data technologies – Mongo DB, Hadoop
- Data modeling, data warehousing and data distribution skills
- Application development experience with JAVA/J2EE technology/Scala/Python
