Director- IT Program Manager/ Chief of Staff/PMO
Job Description
Major Investment Bank seeks a Program Manager/ COO/COS/PMO for their Global Risk and Finance Division. This role is a true Program Manager responsible for assuring on time delivery of programs within Risk & Finance.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitor project plans, critical dependencies, and delivery progress on an ongoing basis
- Manage project schedule aggressively to ensure the program stays on track
- Manage and drive project agenda and communication with the project working teams, across IT, Finance Risk Operations and other key stakeholders
- Drive decisions and consensus with partners in alignment with program objectives
- Lead technical review discussions including driving design decisions as required
- Coordinate with testing teams and drive resolution of open items and issues
- Identify project risks proactively, drive timely mitigation, and escalate to management appropriately
- Drive high quality of all deliverables across complete SDLC
- Ensure proper change management processes are executed across the project life cycle
- Host global cross-functional daily project meetings; formulate agenda, ensure topics and presenters are ready
- Host bi-weekly data Sourcing Council Meetings; formulate agenda, ensure topics and presenters are ready
- Act as Chief of Staff for the CTO, handling business management function in partnership with central Risk and Finance Technology Business Management Office
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of combined business, project management, and IT experience required; with at least 5 years in IT Project Management
- Proven experience with global projects in multiple technologies, and functions
- Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate client requirements into clear actionable goals, establish priorities and achieve measurable results
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in project management tools such as Clarity, Microsoft Project, and Excel
- Must have ability to be tactful yet assertive. Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Comfortable speaking and presenting project status
- Ability to develop strong client and working relationships with the team is a must
- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
- Experience in managing project schedules, tracking project completion, and reporting progress effectively to management
- PMI certification a plus
- Experience in Risk and Finance Technology
- Experience in IT Business management functions
- BS degree in Computer Science or a related Information Technology field
