Major Investment Bank seeks a Sr. Agile Program/Portfolio Manager. The Agile Program and Portfolio Manager will join the division with the objective of supporting end-to-end planning and implementation of strategic initiatives, manage and prioritize a portfolio of tactical projects, drive the Agile transformation for his/her portfolio of projects. As s/he acquires knowledge of the organization, products, and stakeholders, s/he may play the role of Scrum of Scrum for selected projects based on needs and his/her ability.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of projects monitoring project status, cross projects dependencies, and delivery progress on an ongoing basis. For the assigned portfolio, the incumbent will
- Contribute to defining the roadmap for strategic initiatives/products
- Support annual budgeting process and provide program and project portfolio financial management
- Ensure full adoption of Jira, Confluence and other designated tools
- Work closely with Scum Masters, Product Owner, Development Teams and other stakeholders to facilitate delivery and remove impediments
- Provide leadership with meaningful performance metrics and status reports based on Jira dashboards and other tools
- Identify risks proactively, drive timely mitigation, and escalate to management appropriately
- Interface with the Corporate Technology central PMO
- Potentially assume the Scrum of Scrum role for scaled Agile projects
- Enable, support and accelerate the transition from Waterfall to Agile SDLC (Scrum, Kanban)
- Coach Developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and senior stakeholders in Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile)
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of new key performance metrics and project reporting across DAC
- Leverage Confluence and SharePoint as main collaboration tools
- Drive high quality of all deliverables across complete SDLC
- Coordinate and facilitates audits as needed
- Mentor and coach junior members of the PMO team
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7+ years of combined project management, scrum master and development work experience required, with at least 5 years using Agile methodologies
- Proven experience as Scrum Master required, Scrum of Scrum preferred.
- Experience with Scaled Agile preferred.
- Experience in supporting transition from Waterfall to Agile preferred.
- Proven experience with global projects in multiple technologies, and functions
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Confluence, including site management, forms, workflow, templates and reports automations preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and proven expertise in project management tools such as Clarity, Jira, HP ALM, Microsoft Project, and Excel required
- Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have ability to be tactful yet assertive. Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Comfortable speaking and presenting project status
- Ability to develop strong client and working relationships with the team is a must
- Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
- Experience in IT Business management functions
- Technical application development experience strongly preferred
- Scrum Certification is Preferred, Coaching experience a plus, PMP or Prince Certification a plus
- Experience in Risk and Finance Technology with domain knowledge across asset classes preferred.
- Bachelor degree required, Master preferred, Computer Science or a related Information Technology field preferred
