Production Support Manager- Fixed Income & Equities
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Business
• Management of Fixed Income Production Support and Equity Production Support. This role manages a staff of 12+ as a hands on Production Support Lead. Fixed Income is most important (80%), ION trading platform knowledge desirable, E-Trading of Rates and Credit knowledge mandatory. As for Equities (20%), this position will cover cash and Derivative Trading support. The dominating percentile will be for front office applications.
• Build solid working relationships with clients, traders, Front Office groups and vendors.
• Develop & Maintain document, designs and procedures for trading platforms and systems.
• Proactively manage issues following up as necessary until a successful conclusion is achieved.
• Manage and participate in developing effective internal communication and sharing of information specifically in relation to RTB projects
Team
• Six staff directly support expansion of Market Access ION trading platform. Bloomberg TOMS system also in place. Staff of 6 support Equity and Options Trading businesses mostly in house developed solutions. As for Post Trade support, Broadridge and Fidessa are key components. Exposure to Middle and Back office knowledge will suffice.
• Liaise closely with other team members (globally) to achieve RTB goals.
• Assist on projects and with system testing during upgrades and new releases.
• Produce plans for ongoing projects, releases and support.
• Attend team meetings, providing status updates for work being performed.
• Liaise with Business and IT staff from other sites where appropriate and visit these sites when required.
• Be flexible & prepared to work in a changing environment, as business needs dictate.
• Assist in the development of existing processes and create new processes as required.
• Complete specific tasks on time (e.g. timesheets)
• Early am coverage for Fixed Income Trading team is important
Qualifications:
• E-Trading Front Office knowledge mandatory, ION ideal
• Be able to demonstrate strong skills in supporting Fixed Income Electronic Trading Systems
• Good front office trader facing experience
• Superior Relationship Management skills with the ability to work affectively in a Global, follow the sun run the bank Technology division.
• Be able to demonstrate strong IT technical and analytical skills
• Strong client facing skills
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Vendor Relationship Management
• Good communication skills. Must be able to interact and work well with traders, operations, vendors, business and other IT teams to accomplish specified goals
